The Real Theatre Co. Presents – ‘TELL ME ON A SUNDAY’

Hopefully we’re now seeing Covid-19 on the back foot, well at least here in NZ, so we can start staging theatre productions again.

With what’s left of the year, The Real Theatre Company is looking to stage a diverse range of productions starting with the one woman Andrew Lloyd Weber Musical; TELL ME ON A SUNDAY, made famous by Marti Webb.

TELL ME ON A SUNDAY follows the travails of an English woman who fearing her time is running out is desperately seeking a romantic relationship in America. In her quest she strikes up her relationships with the man who cheats, the older man, the man who turns out to be gay, the married man, but all her romantic endeavours come to naught.

So she’s ultimately confronted with the reality that perhaps having a man in her life is not the be all and end all.

The show features the well known and loved songs;

  • Tell me on a Sunday
  • Capped Teeth and Ceasar Salad
  • Take That Look off Your Face, and many more.

This production is part of the Harcourts Hawkes Bay Arts Festival and will be staged at the Waipawa Municipal Theatre on Friday 16th October at 7.30 pm, and at The Urban Wine Bar in Ahuriri on Thursday 22nd, Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th at 8.00 pm.

Our production starring Wynne DeLartour. Wynne is well known to Hawke’s Bay audiences having performed in a number of musicals including; Mama Mia, Les Miserables, to name a few.
